The Power of Community
If you’ve followed me for a while you know how much I value those around me. My clients, my peers, my mentors & my team all impact my success in business; and more important, my love of having my own business.
Today I wanted to share with you my experiences with the power of community.
About 3 years ago I learned about a program for WordPress Freelancers run by Troy Dean called WP Elevation. I was enticed by the Systems & Structure the program promised and the free 30 days no questions refund period had me going: “Why not”
Little did I know I was going to get so much more than Systems & Structure.
Within the first week, I knew I had found my home. WP Elevation provided a world of other freelancers just like me. There were ~300 of us at the time. It is now up to 800+.
The most amazing part is that not only have I found a place to learn and grow. WP Elevation is a place I could go to share my successes, voice my fears, ask questions and generally connect.
I found what I had been missing … Community
I share this story with you today for two reasons.
- First, if you are a WordPress developer I highly recommend you check WP Elevation. For me and many others, it has been life-changing.
- Second, if you are not, I encourage you to seek to find your own community of peers. And if one does not exist, consider making one.
Afterall, I don’t know about you, but I need a community to thrive & grow!
